Freas Drops out of Race for Simpson County Judge-Executive


 He served as mayor of Franklin for three terms, in the 1970s and '80s.

 

FRANKLIN, Ky (WBKO) -- Former Franklin mayor, Larry Freas has dropped out of the race for Simpson County Judge-Executive.

Freas, who was running on the democratic ticket, did not have a primary opponent.

He served as mayor of Franklin for three terms, in the 1970s and '80s.

The race will now be decided in the republican primary between longtime incumbent Judge Jim Henderson, and Joseph Palma.

The election is May 20.
