If you're in the mood to visit a museum, Saturday might be a good day to do it.

As part of the National Smithsonian Magazine Free Museum Day, some local museums will offer free admission.

The website shows the National Corvette Museum, Historic RailPark and Train Museum and Hardin Planetarium Museum will accept Museum Day Live tickets Saturday.

Folks at the train museum are ready to show it off.

"The museum is located in the Historic L&N Depot, which was built in 1925. The museum encompasses two floors inside there -- goes over the history of the L&N Railroad as well as the history of the railroad through Bowling Green. Then our tour guide will take you outside and you get to go on a tour of the train," said Bethany Sutton, the museum's executive director.

If you would like to get a ticket, log on to smithsonianmag.com and click the link for Museum Day Live.
