BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- For many people, summer is the ideal time to take every day activities outdoors to get some fresh air.
That's just the idea that caused two fitness studios to join together and bring a unique concept to the community.
One Sunday each month, starting now and running through October, they are offering a free yoga and pilates class at Kereiakes Park.
"We're hoping just to increase awareness of the two forms of activity. Pilates and yoga, even though they're vastly different, their benefits are almost the same. They parallel a great deal, and just to get people out and active," said Loralee Stephens, owner of Align Pilates.
"It's a great way to reach out to the community and promote health," said Lindsey Bale, an instructor at yogaLOFT.
If you missed this Sunday's class, the next one will be at the park on July 20th.
