ALVATON, Ky. (WBKO) -- People in Alvaton were getting in the autumn mood today.
The Boyce General Store owners hosted its second fall festival.
Music, food and hay rides were there for the community to enjoy for free.
Vendors were also set up for those who wanted to shop.
People there said since the store opened the community has been stronger.
"This is my granddaughter and her husband, Brad, and they just love this. And we love the interaction of the community. It's a great coming together of the community, and we really enjoy it," said Jane Jones, the owner's grandmother.
The couple bought the store about a year ago.
Jones said her granddaughter makes homemade pies for the store, and they want everyone who visits to experience simpler times.
She also said she noticed a bigger turnout at the festival this year.
