UPDATE: Golden Alert: John Kessinger

CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. (WBKO) UPDATE 11/24/13 11:30pm

The Golden Alert issued for Taylor County resident John Kessinger, who went missing on Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013 has been cancelled.

Mr. Kessinger has returned home safely.

Sheriff Allen Newton would like to extend a thank you to the community for all their assistance in locating Mr. Kessinger.

A Golden Alert has been issued for 55-year-old John Kessinger of Campbellsville. The Sherif's department says Kessinger was last seen in the Russell County/Jamestown area.

Kessinger is on foot and was last known to be wearing dark pants, a dark shirt with the words "Got Jesus?" written in white, and a Notre Dame jacket.

Kessinger is a white male, 5'11", 160 lbs with hazel eyes and gray hair. The Sherif's department says he has stated in the past that he was going to Tennessee to tend to a farm. His family is unaware of any farm that he would be going to.

Kessinger is known to be delusional and possibly suffering from the early stages of dementia. If anyone has seen him, please contact your local law enforcement agency or call the Taylor County Sheriff's office at (270) 465-4351.
