LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- The grandfather of a 3-year-old Lexington girl who suffocated says she was found inside a bean bag in her room.
State Rep. Terry Mills of Lebanon told WKYT-TV (http://bit.ly/PpqbIO) that Kylee Mills Simmerman may have climbed into the bag during a game of hide `n' seek. He says the girl's father searched their home Wednesday and couldn't find her, so he called emergency crews. Firefighters who responded found her unresponsive in the bean bag and took her to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The Fayette County coroner's office says the child died of suffocation.
Mills described his daughter and son-in-law as good parents and said they are thankful for the support they have received.
