Grayson County Child Death Investigation

 Keaton Runsvold (23 months) was found unresponsive by Grayson Co. EMS at the residence after a family member called 911.  

CANEYVILLE, KY. (WBKO) -- On Thursday, January 16, 2014 at approximately 9:15 A.M. CST, Kentucky State Police Post 04 received a call from Grayson Co. dispatch in regards to a child that was found unresponsive by a relative at 104 Cherry St.

Keaton Runsvold (23 months) was found unresponsive by Grayson Co. EMS at the residence after a family member called 911.

The child was taken by EMS to Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead at 9:36 A.M. CST.

Grayson Co. Sheriff's Office arrived at the scene and assisted with transporting family members to the hospital.

KSP personnel conducted a search of the residence.

An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow in Louisville at the State Medical Examiner's Office with toxicology results pending.

At this time the case is being handled as a Death Investigation involving suspected ingestion of an unknown substance.

The investigation is ongoing with Det. Aaron Gabhart as lead investigator.
