Jim Sidebottom of Greensburg is the Kentucky state winner of the Swisher Sweets/Sunbelt Expo Southeastern Farmer of the Year award.
Sidebottom operates a 518 acre dairy farm, milking some 210 cows three times a day, producing about 22-thousand pounds of milk per year.
Sidebottom will receive a $2,500 cash award, and will compete against nine other state winners for the Southeastern Championship in Moultrie, Georgia October 16.
The overall winner gets $15,000 and the use of a new Massey Ferguson tractor for a year, among other prizes.
