Gun Shots Fired During Franklin Home Invasion

By  |

Police are trying to identify two men responsible for a home invasion in Franklin early Wednesday morning.

Home Invasion

They say the two men kicked down a door on Drew Brooke Dr., demanding money.

Police say on their way to the house, they saw Eric Tipton, 28, the driver of a Ford Van, jump out of it while it was still moving.

Police say Tipton told them the passenger, who fled on foot after the van stopped, was one of two men who had knocked down his door and shot him.

The other man fled from the house.

Tipton was taken to the Medical Center of Franklin.

That's where police came in contact with Christopher Ficklin, 44, who had a gunshot wound to his arm.

"One of the suspects showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound to the arm and we are investigating that right now, we know who the other person is, and those are our two suspects, we are investigating, and we will be making arrests," says Simpson County Sheriff Chris Cline.

We'll have more information as it becomes available.
