Guthrie Sworn in for Third Term

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Brett Guthrie issued the following statement after being sworn in for a third term by Speaker John Boehner.

“I am proud to represent Kentucky’s Second District and am looking forward to the fresh start of a new Congress. I am hopeful that together my colleagues and I will be able to implement meaningful spending reforms, and pass legislation that will grow our economy, create jobs, and help better prepare our nation’s students and workforce.”

Congressman Guthrie will serve on two committees during the 113th Congress; the Energy & Commerce Committee and the Committee on Education and the Workforce. Congressman Guthrie also serves as an Assistant Whip within the Republican Conference.
