(ELIZABETHTOWN, KY) - On Saturday, June 16, 2012 at approximately 2:36 p.m. ET Post 4 received a call from a female subject stating that 24-year-old Jamie Wagers of Elizabethtown had struck another man in the head with a blunt object at 130 Magers Drive in Elizabethtown and was still pursuing him on foot.
When Troopers arrived they discovered the body of 20-year-old Christian F. Higdon of Clarkson, KY in the yard at 45 Magers Drive.
It appeared that Higdon had a significant injury to the back of his head. Higdon was officially pronounced dead at the scene at 2:51 p.m. ET by the Hardin County Coroner.
Based on information obtained in the preliminary investigation, Detectives placed Jamie Wagers under arrest and charged him with Murder. Wagers is lodged in the Hardin County Detention Center.
