Head-on Wreck Sends Two to Hospital in Warren County

A head-on wreck in broad daylight sends two people to the hospital.

Sheriff's deputies say a 2001 Honda collided head-on with a 2009 Chevy at around 2:45p.m. near the 600-block of Otter Gap Rd. near Oakland leaving both drivers injured. 45 year-old Larry Davis of Bowling Green was air-lifted to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville. His condition has not been released.

The other driver, 21 year-old Kaeley Cooksey of Bowling Green was taken by ambulance to The Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries. She was later released.

"Preliminary investigation shows right now the operator of unit one was traveling east on Otter Gap Rd. It looks like they lost control of the vehicle and crossed over into the oncoming lane of unit two, that was traveling west. The operator of unit one was life-lighted," said Warren County Sheriff's Sgt. Tim Ausbrooks.

Sgt. Ausbrooks says preliminary investigations show alcohol was not a factor in the accident, and both drivers were wearing their seat belts.
