Some have preferred to relax in this hot weather while others preferred to play. No matter where you have been this past week it has been hot and everyone is talking about it.
"Anything in the hundreds is a little too much for me," says Shasta Stephenson.
"It has been so hot we can't use our above ground pool," says Dawn Trammell.
"I'll be happy with 90, they give us 90 I’ll be happy," says Mandy.
But the extreme heat isn't bothering everyone.
"The heat? I like the heat. It doesn't bother me that much. I like the heat," says one visitor to Circus Square Park in Downtown Bowling Green.
Circus Square Park has been a popular destination for kids to cool off. It has also been so hot even parents are joining in on the fun.
Although everyone is having some fun in the sun parents continue to take extra precautions to protect their kids.
"Lots of sunscreen. Lots of sunscreen and plenty of fluids. I let her bring water everywhere we go and frequent trips to cool off at places like this," says Stephenson.
Those frequent trips to cool off may not be needed in the coming days as the heat wave may finally take a break. For some it couldn't come soon enough.
"I’ll be glad to see a little cooler weather. It has been too hot," says Trammell.
"I think it's wonderful. In fact we will probably have picnics outside," says Stephenson.
"No hundred degrees hundred and ten. I'm ready," says Mandy.
