Henderson Re-Elected As Simpson County Judge/Executive

FRANKLIN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Incumbent Jim Henderson won in a landslide victory. The results came in at 91% for Henderson, compared to 9% for candidate Joe Palma.

The Republican primary actually works as a full election in this case because there is no Democratic challenger.

Judge Henderson said the next term will have a new outlook for him, since it marks 20 years in office for him.

"I think this whole next term for me is really about more long range planning. More transitional thinking about making sure Simpson County is well prepared for the long haul. When I ran for office in 1998, I thought I might have one term. I didn't think that far ahead. Now having done this awhile, it's really time to lay some long range plans."
