The Kentucky Association of Basketball Coaches is asking Elizabethtown tourism officials to help market the state's new Kentucky High School Basketball hall of fame.

Association executive director Ken Trivette told the Elizabethtown Tourism & Convention last week the hall of fame will preserve the stories and contributions of coaches and players.

The News-Enterprise reported that Trivette told tourism officials the hall will be made up of a physical location in Elizabethtown coupled with a mobile exhibit that would travel throughout Kentucky. The Elizabethtown location has not yet been decided.

The first induction ceremony for the hall of fame was held in Elizabethtown in July. The goal is to have a class of 100 inductees in place by 2018, which is the 100th anniversary of high school basketball in Kentucky.
