With the dream home open all week, all the proceeds from tickets go to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
The idea of the Dream Home has come a long way since it began in 1991 in Shreveport Louisiana.
"St. Jude had a pre-fab home donated to us, and we decided to sell raffle tickets. So the next year, we had the bright idea of getting a builder to build us a house, and from there it's grown to the point that we're now doing 33 dream homes in 23 different states around the country," said St. Jude Children's Research Hospital Region 4 Director Tom Desmond.
The donation of that pre-fab home sparked the idea that now generates about $24 million a year for the hospital.
