On Monday at 3:43 p.m. Kentucky State Police responded to Interstate 65 at the 6 mile marker southbound in Simpson County to a hit and run two vehicle injury collision.
KSP says Robert Johnson, 68, of Bowling Green was operating a 1997 Dodge pick up traveling when a Commercial Motor Vehicle merged into his lane.
The Commercial Motor Vehicle struck Johnson's left front fender causing minor damage to his vehicle. The Commercial Motor Vehicle failed to stop and continued traveling southbound on Interstate 65.
Johnson was complaining with neck pain at the scene of the collision, but was not transported to the hospital.
The hit and run Commercial Motor Vehicle is described as yellow in color and pulling a trailer with some type of heavy machinery equipment on the trailer.
