Hodgenville Phone Scam

Posted: Thu 6:44 PM, Sep 20, 2012

Police say someone is trying to scam others out of money and they're using the name of a Hodgenville Police Officer who was killed in the line of duty.

43-year-old Mark Taulbee died Sunday after he crashed his police cruiser during a high-speed chase.

Police say on Tuesday, two people made phone calls trying to get donations for Taulbee's funeral.

Police say the calls were from scammers who called from blocked phone numbers.

If you receive a call like this, call the police.
