Holiday Bash Charities Picked Up Their Checks

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- It's the end of January, but Holiday Bash isn't over just yet.

We learned not too long ago that this past years bash raised a record breaking total of over $400,000.

Today charities picked up their individual checks to see how much they earned for their cause. Some said it was like a Christmas present.

"It's basically like Christmas morning! You come and find out exactly how much money you raised. All the hard work you put into it and the generosity of everybody in the community, it really pays off," said Jef Goodknight with the Boys and Girls Club of Franklin and Simpson counties.

"It will serve the clients that we serve, following house fires, and help with Military services. It's going to impact a lot of people. We are very excited about what was raised this year and look forward to next year, and just pleased with the amount of money that we will be able to put back into the community right away," said Jennifer Capps with the American Red Cross.

The organizations said they are already planning for the next Holiday Bash coming up later this year.
