Last Friday, Adam Lanza took several guns from his mother's house, which led to the Sandy Hook massacre.

Now, some legislators are looking to outlaw assault weapons.

If you are a gun owner, there are some ways to keep your guns safe.

As big game hunter, Tom Baker explains, gun safety starts inside of your home.

"All of my fire arms are always kept in locked safes. You know, I have five children, I have five grandchildren, and I have guests over to my house all the time to visit my trophy room, and you will never see a firearm for access," Baker says.

Baker says it is the gun owner's responsibility to ensure all guns are locked away.
