Hotel Inc. said hundreds of people are currently considered homeless in Bowling Green, and that's why the Bowling Green Housing Coalition is sponsoring a Homelessness Forum on November 19 at Christ Episcopal Church at 9 AM. Employees of Hotel Inc. said though the problem may not be visible to everybody, the need is there.
"Nights like last night come up out of the blue around here. The weather varies so much. It's so important that we're aware that homelessness exists in Bowling Green, and that we join together and try to help neighbors that aren't able at this time to be inside." said Brooke Schreiner, of Hotel Inc.
Besides the November 19 forum, Hotel Inc. is also giving out tents, sleeping bags, and flash lights at an outreach program to help hold them over during the cold nights.
