PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) -- Not often do emergency workers get a 911 call reporting that a family's vicious cat has trapped them in their bedroom.
That's what happened Sunday in Portland, Oregon.
Police say a couple called 911, saying their 22-pound house cat had attacked their baby, and they had locked themselves in their bedroom with the child and their dog.
The child wasn't hurt.
Officers used a dog snare to capture the cat, which the owners say has a history of violence. And the cat is still with its owners.
