House Fire On Bellshire

"We made our initial attack on the fire, stopped it in the garage area.  It did make it up into the second floor of the garage, but it stopped there and did not proceed into the rest of the residence," said Brad Harper, Chief of Alvaton Fire department.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- The Alvaton Fire Department received a call from a home owner whose house was on fire.

When fire crews got there the resident was outside and unharmed.
Officials say the fire was strictly in the garage area.

"We made our initial attack on the fire, stopped it in the garage area. It did make it up into the second floor of the garage, but it stopped there and did not proceed into the rest of the residence," said Brad Harper, Chief of Alvaton Fire department.

Alvaton, Woodburn, Gott, and Plano Fire Departments were all on the scene. As of now it is undetermined what caused the fire.
