FRANKFORT, Ky. (WBKO) -- Lawmakers in the house also approved the road plan Tuesday, which has several projects in the WBKO area.

It's a $4.5 billion plan with $2.5 billion of that money comes from the federal government.

Some of the projects in our area include expanding interstate 65 to six lanes all the way from Bowling Green to Elizabethtown over the next six years.

Expanding 31-W to five lanes from Dillard Road to just beyond Michael Buchanon Park.

Five million dollars for road improvements on Scottsville Road between Lovers Lane and Cave Mill Rd. including double turn lanes onto Cave Mill.

Also, construction on a road that would connect the Transpark to I-65 to be completed by 2016.

Several republicans voted against the bill, the senate will also look at this and they can make changes.
