UPDATE: I-65 Northbound Now Open After Semi Wreck

Kentucky State Police say Martin Gassitte (64) of Kenosha, WI was driving on I-65 North when he hit Scott Miller (49) of Pegram, TN.

Both men were driving semis.

Police say Gassitte was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

UPDATE 5/9/14 3:00 PM

Police confirm all lanes of I-65 North near the crash site are open.

Police also say one of the drivers was trapped for a short time after the wreck, but he was freed.

No major injuries have been reported.

Around 4:15 Friday morning on I-65, two commercial tractor trailers collided. The wreck caused both tractor trailers to become fully engulfed in flames.

Anyone traveling I-65 northbound, near exit 43, is being rerouted at the Cumberland Parkway interchange. Officials have confirmed a four-hour delay.

Kentucky State Police say this is a hazardous situation. One trailer was carrying paint, while the other was full of tires.

At this time there is no word of any injuries. Smith's Grove Fire Department and Park City Fire Department are working the scene.
