I-65 Construction Extends

Construction is going on between Park City and Cave City on Interstate-65, but thanks to the new road plan it will extend to Horse Cave, with that construction starting in October.

Crews are widening the roads from four lanes to six lanes, where three lanes will go South and three lanes North.

They are also constructing a more than four foot long barrier wall in the middle. It's meant to keep drivers safer after numerous crashes in recent years.

The construction currently going on between Park City and Cave City is expected to be done by the end of this year.

While the construction starting in October that will stretch to Horse Cave won't be finished for at least a year and a half.
