WILMORE, Ky. (AP) -- Organizers behind the Ichthus Music Festival say the relaunch of the long-running Christian music festival has been delayed until 2015.
Organizers said they were planning to hold the festival again this year on June 4-7 at the Kentucky Horse Park. Lexington media cited an online posting organizers made Saturday saying they decided to cancel it after complaints that many would be unable to attend due to school calendars that were extended because of a high number of snow days.
The new re-launch date is planned on July 8-11 in 2015. Organizers say tickets sold for the 2014 show will be honored next year.
Ichthus Ministries Inc. announced in 2013 that the 42-year-old festival would be canceled and further operations would be ceased due to financial difficulties.
