LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Louisville police say they have identified the mother of a baby whose body was found inside a department store restroom and that she is cooperating with authorities.
WAVE-TV says police have determined that the baby was born inside a restroom at the store.
Jefferson County Deputy Coroner Larry Carroll says it's not yet known whether the baby was born dead. The cause of death hasn't been determined.
Police say the baby girl appeared to be full-term and healthy.
Police were called to Kohl's department store in southern Jefferson County around 5:45 p.m. EDT Thursday.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Louisville police are investigating the death of an infant whose body was found inside a department store restroom.
Investigators aren't sure whether the baby was born alive. Police spokeswoman Alicia Smiley told The Courier-Journal the infant appeared to be close to term although investigators aren't certain.
Smiley would not discuss whether evidence indicated the baby was born at the Kohl's department store in southern Jefferson County, where police were called around 5:45 p.m. EDT Thursday.
Smiley didn't know the baby's gender and wouldn't say whether the child was in the men's or women's restroom. She also declined to say whether the baby was found in a trash can, as a dispatcher said earlier.
Smiley said police were reviewing surveillance video and interviewing employees.
