Contracts for several intersection repair projects around the state have been awarded, totaling nearly $2.5 million.
Transportation Secretary Mike Hancock says the intersections selected are those most in need of repair.
The projects are Kentucky 80 and Kentucky 1247 in Pulaski County, $1.02 million; U.S. 62 with entrance of Hucks Truck Stop in Lyon County, $559,291; U.S. 51 with U.S. 60 and North Third Street in Ballard County, $404,092; U.S. 127 with Kentucky 676 in Franklin County, $306,002; and U.S. 62 and U.S. 150 in Nelson County and U.S. 62 and Kentucky 259 in Grayson County, $193,714.
The Transportation Cabinet says more than $6 million in such projects has been awarded to contract during 2012 and more is expected next year.
