MOSCOW (AP) - There's some confusion about whether NSA leaker Edward Snowden will be heading to Venezuela.
A prominent Russian lawmaker today tweeted that Snowden had accepted Venezuela's offer of political asylum. He then deleted the posting a few minutes later.
He later said his claim was based on a report from a Russian TV channel... but no such information could be found on the channel's website.
Over the weekend, Venezuela's foreign minister said his country hadn't yet been in contact with Snowden.
