Today some of Kentucky's high school cheerleading squads met at Diddle Area to show off their best cheers.
The Kentucky Association of Pep Organization sponsors hosted it's 2011 State Cheerleading Competition.
Teams from around the state came out and performed their routines in front of judges, hoping to win best in the state.
"They enjoy it, when they stop enjoying it, we'll stop competing. They love it, it brings them alot of energy, it brings them alot of recognition and they bond as a team and that's what means so much," said Melissa Gunn.
Marshall County High School cheerleading squad recently received 12Th in their division at a national competition.
