The bands are split up by class. Five sites were used in the area Saturday as semi-final locations all leading up to the finals later in the night. Larue County won the 2A state title last year to the surprise of some. They say it was exciting to be back in Bowling Green to defend their title.
"We kind of caught them off guard, like last year in semi-finals, right here in this stadium actually, we were third, and then that night we advanced to finals last year and we got first. This year bands have stepped it up big time in order to stay neck and neck with us." said Larue County Senior, Nathaniel Hornback.
The finals were held at Smith Stadium on the campus of WKU.
