GRAHAM, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky State Police say a couple found dead inside a Muhlenberg home each committed suicide, but did not leave a note behind.
Trooper Stu Recke told the Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer that 47-year-old Dune and his wife, 35-year-old Yolanda Dune of Graham each had self-inflicted gunshot wounds. Recke says Dune had no legal first name.
Troopers were called to the couple's home on Kentucky 175 in Graham Tuesday afternoon to conduct a welfare check. Upon arrival, troopers found both people dead.
Dune and Yolanda Dune were examined Wednesday morning at the state medical examiner's office in Madisonville. Recke said neighbors told investigators the couple had lived at the home for about three years.
The incident is still under investigation.

GRAHAM, Ky. -– Kentucky State Police is currently investigating the death of a Graham couple.
On Tuesday at approximately 1:26 PM, the KSP Post 2 Madisonville says it was contacted by the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department and requested to conduct a welfare check at a residence located at 4123 State Route 175 South, Graham.
Upon arrival, troopers and detectives discovered the victims, 47-year-old Dune (no legal first name) and his wife, 35-year-old Yolanda R. Dune. KSP says they were found dead in the living room of the residence.
The preliminary investigation revealed that each victim appeared to have suffered from a single gunshot.
Muhlenberg County Deputy Coroner Ricky King pronounced the victims dead at the scene.
An autopsy was conducted Wednesday morning at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Madisonville. The preliminary results indicate that each victim died from a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound.
MUHLENBERG COUNTY, Ky. -- Kentucky State Police is investigating the deaths of two people at a home on Kentucky 175 in Graham.
KSP says it was contacted by the Muhlenberg County Sheriff’s Department on Tuesday at approximately 1:25 PM. They were requested to conduct a welfare check at the residence.
Upon arrival, troopers say a male and a female were located in the residence deceased. At this time, troopers say it appears both subjects had been shot.
The Muhlenberg County Coroner’s Office pronounced both subjects dead at the scene.
Further information, including the names of the deceased, will be provided pending the autopsy results.
The autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday at the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Madisonville.
