Kentucky State Police kicked off the third annual Cram the Cruiser food drive yesterday.
Non-perishable food items are being collected for needy families.
Donations can be dropped off at all 16 KSP Posts throughout the state, including in Bowling Green on Nashville Road.
Food will be distributed to local shelters, schools, and other organizations to those who are in need.
"I'll be getting in touch with some of the family resource people there at the schools to find out which families need it and we will distribute that food shortly afterwards," says Public Affairs Officer, Trooper Jonathan Biven.
KSP Post 3 collected more than 1,700 lbs last year.
The campaign runs through Dec. 14th.
