BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- The Kentucky State Police Post 3, is now accepting applications for it's Citizen's Police Academy.
Beginning September 11, the program will be held at Hillvue Baptist Church, every Thursday from 7-9 PM, for ten weeks. The curriculum allows citizens to get an inside look at the agency that they often see from a single perspective.
"We will put them in scenarios where they are actually the law enforcement officer, obviously in a controlled environment, to see what it's like when a Trooper comes up on a traffic stop. We will have people from the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office and the County Attorney's Office. The Warren County Drug Task Force will be guest speakers, so citizens will be able to learn a little bit about what they do as well," said Jonathan Biven, Kentucky State Police Post 3.
The deadline to apply is August 15. Applications can be printed from the link provided, or picked up at KSP Post 3.
