A Kentucky State Police trooper continues to fight a civil case in Barren Circuit Court.
Trooper Jonathan Biven, the Public Affairs Officer for the Bowling Green KSP post, is being sued for damages related to a September 2011 crash that killed a Green County woman.
33-year-old Nurcan Ceylan was driving on 31W when Biven's cruiser crossed over the center line and struck her Mustang.
She was rushed to a hospital, but was pronounced dead.
54-year-old Samuel Parker was in the passenger seat and survived.
The Glasgow Daily Times reports the Barren-Metcalfe County Commonwealth Attorney's Office chose not to prosecute the trooper, but Parker brought a civil suit against Biven requesting payment of his ongoing medical expenses and punitive damages.
