KSP Trooper Gives CPR to Unresponsive Child

On Friday at approximately 3:15 p.m. EDT, Kentucky State Police Trooper Casey Wethington was on patrol in the Speck Ridge Road area of Taylor County when he was flagged down by a female.

She advised that her 7-year-old daughter was in the car, had just had a seizure and was not breathing.

Trooper Wethington immediately radioed to dispatch and called for an ambulance.

He then pulled the child from the car and began CPR, continuing until EMS arrived and took over the child's care.

The juvenile is currently in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Kosair's Hospital in Louisville.
