Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green, would like to warn residences of a possible money scam.
The recent scam consisted of a caller calling an individual and telling them that a family member had been involved in some type of automobile collision and needed money wired to them.
The caller then told the victim to withdraw $3500.00 from the bank and go to Wal-Mart and wire it to an address in A,thens, Greece.
Kentucky State Police Post 3 wants citizens to beware of these types of scams and if you are going to wire money to anyone make sure you know who they are and you have spoken to the individual you are wiring the money.
