FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- Kentuckians will have their say in several political races today, including late input in the Republican presidential primary. Polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Presumed Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is the only GOP candidate with an active presidential campaign. But Republicans Newt Gingrich, Ron Paul and Rick Santorum will be on Kentucky ballots.
With Romney's nomination already virtually assured, Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes predicted that only one in 10 Kentucky voters will cast ballots.
A few other races are generating interest, including a Republican congressional primary in northern Kentucky's 4th District. State Rep. Alecia Webb-Edgington, Boone County Judge-Executive Gary Moore and Lewis County Judge-Executive Thomas Massie are front-runners for the GOP nomination to replace retiring U.S. Rep. Geoff Davis.
