FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) -- Applications are being taken starting next week for the next Kentucky State Police cadet class, which is scheduled to start next summer.
Written and physical fitness tests will be given on the same day.
The testing begins in Murray on July 22 and continues through Sept. 24 in Richmond. Applications to take the exam must be submitted several days in advance. Deadlines are listed on the state police website, along with a link to download a cadet application and study guide. The link is below.
Minimum requirements to become a trooper include being at least 21 years old and a U.S. citizen and having at least 60 hours of college credit or two years' active military duty or law enforcement experience.
