MAYSVILLE, KY. (AP) -- Kentucky Transportation officials say Kentucky 8 near Maysville will remain closed as contractors work to clean up a slide.
A statement on Monday from the Department of Highways says the roadway was closed this weekend near mile marker 10 when a hillside slipped and covered all traveling lanes.
The statement said the cleanup could take two or three more days depending on the weather and the hillside's stability. Motorists can use Kentucky 3056 and U.S. 62 as alternate routes.
