Kentucky Man Killed in Pennsylvania Crash

STONEBORO, Pa. (AP) -- State police say a Kentucky man is dead following a crash in rural western Pennsylvania, and they plan to charge the driver of the car he was in with homicide by vehicle while driving drunk.

Troopers from the Mercer barracks say 27-year-old Jonathan Newcomb, of Inez, Ky., was thrown from the car that crashed about 11 p.m. Saturday in Lake Township, Mercer County. That's about 60 miles north of Pittsburgh.

Police say the 32-year-old woman from Surf City, N.C. who was driving the car will be charged in the crash. She's currently being treated in a Pittsburgh hospital.

Police say the woman failed to make a sharp curve in the road before the car rolled in a field.

The Associated Press is not releasing the woman's name because charges had not been filed by Monday morning.
