It was a fun day at Phil Moore Park as dozens of kids and teenagers raced in soap box cars.
It was all part of the 15th Annual BB&T All American Soap Box Derby, put together by the Kiwanis Club of Bowling Green.
Nearly 80 kids, between the ages of seven and 17, raced down the track in Alvaton.
Two of the participants, who are siblings, explained why they enjoy racing.
"Just building the car and being with family, like getting some family time with my dad, building the car, being able to race against my siblings," says 13-year-old Joseph Collins.
"Because I get to build my car with my dad and race down the hill," added 11-year-old Bailee Collins.
The top four places in three categories, including stock, superstock and masters, got prizes and trophies.
