Known Community Member "Roasted" at Chamber Fundraiser

"I thought they were pretty good to me overall. It was an honor, it was humbling to be there and be the one they selected today. I guess it took a sink hole to have me here at the National Corvette Museum for my turn to finally come for something like that," said Wendell Strode, National Corvette Museum's Director.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky (WBKO) -- Retired Corvette Plant Manager, Dave Tatman, emceed the event to raise money for the leadership programs led by the Chamber of Commerce.

Last year's fundraiser allowed the Chamber to establish the first Leadership of South Central Kentucky class. Those members were recognized during today's ceremony.

The entertainment portion began as the Corvette Museum's Director, Wendell Strode, took center stage. Close friends and family took turns "roasting" Strode, bringing lots of laughs to the crowd, but all for a good cause.

The money goes toward a scholarship fund, in honor of Charles Moore Jr.
