Ky. Mom Worried That Cold Case Will Stay Unsolved

PINEVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- An eastern Kentucky woman is afraid the slaying of her daughter 22 years ago will remain an unsolved cold case.

Janice Bailey of Pineville told WKYT-TV (http://bit.ly/OoEuvZ ) that the years since her daughter's death have been "like going to hell and never coming back."

Police found 21-year-old Jennifer Bailey dead and said she had been strangled. Jennifer Bailey was last seen alive Aug. 16, 1990 while running in Pine Mountain State Park in Bell County.

No one has been charged in the death.

Kentucky State Police in Harlan Say the investigation into Jennifer Bailey's death remains an active open case.
