Ky. Police Looking For Man Who Fled During Trial

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) -- Police and U.S. Marshals are looking for a 29-year-old Lexington man who fled the Fayette Circuit Court just before a jury found him guilty of rape and sodomy.

Lexington police said John C. Buckley IV was last seen by authorities on Thursday, but he left court when the jury began deliberating and cut off an ankle monitor that he was wearing as a part of the conditions for release on bond.

Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts told the Lexington Herald-Leader (http://bit.ly/P6LDFj ) that they consider Buckley dangerous and his training as a former Army Ranger "gives him the ability to engage in defensive and combative tactics at a very high level."

The jury found him guilty of two counts of first-degree sodomy, first-degree rape, fourth-degree assault and unlawful imprisonment.
