LONDON, Ky. (AP) -- Police have charged a Laurel County man with murder in the stabbing death of his girlfriend.
Police told WKYT-TV (http://bit.ly/SncU5S) that they were called to a report of a fight at an apartment complex early Tuesday and found 25-year-old Pamela Sue Bobbit in an apartment with stab wounds to her back, chest, jaw and wrist. Bobbit was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
Officers say the suspect, 34-year-old Sean Messer, ran from the scene. He was later caught as he tried to pick up a vehicle that was being serviced.
Messer, who police say had two children with Bobbit, is charged with murder-domestic violence.
He was lodged in the Laurel County jail, which did not have an attorney listed for him in online records.
