LEXINGTON, Ky. -- A couple of Lexington students have found themselves in a sticky situation.
Their prom outfits, made entirely of duct tape, have landed them in the top 10 entries for the Duck Brand Duct Tape "Stuck at Prom" Scholarship Contest.
Sixteen-year-old Ashley Whaley says she has no experience in fashion design but decided to create the duct tape prom wear for herself and her escort, 17-year-old Ian Hafley, for Lexington Tates Creek's prom in February.
The contest offers first-, second- and third-place prizes of $5,000, $3,000 and $2,000 each for the couples receiving the most votes in online balloting.
Go to the link below to vote once a day in the contest, through Monday.
