Organization Aids In Officer Funeral
Monday's service for Officer Sprocket in Tompkinsville was supported by a special organization.
"Supporting Heroes" provides financial, funeral planning, and peer support to fallen service members in EMS, Fire, and Police.
Officials say with the help of the Tompkinsville Community, Monday was about remembering Officer Sprocket and his more than 50 years of service.
"We are honoring him for his service as a police officer. Over fifty years in law enforcement and then a sacrifice. Even though he was retired what happened here was a direct result of his service in law enforcement and so we are honoring him for both his service and his sacrifice," says Eric Johnson.
