Instead of flowers and dinner, some locals are celebrating the Valentine's Day weekend in an alternative way.
Lovebirds getting a couples massage and pedicure at salons and spas like Ohana's along the US 31 West Bypass in Bowling Green.
Many enjoying chocolates and champagne while getting a massage in a candlelit room.
Spa owners say the massages allow couples to relax in an intimate setting.
"It's a very romantic experience, most people think of flowers and chocolate, and we do have all those things, but it's also an added special massage oils that are scented for the island experience so that here in the middle of the cold, snowy weather sometimes, it's kind of nice to get away," says Jennifer Meisel, the owner of Ohana's Salon and Spa.
Couples also getting their hair and nails done for the loved filled day.
